hi, i’m Mia
I live on Awabakal land (Newcaslte, Australia), where I am originally from. MY family and I spent 10 years in Dubai, United Arab Emirate’s, before returning to Australia in 2017, where I came back with a deep culture appreciation. Throughout my life, I’ve been surrounded by hard-working creatives, and this has lead me to being influenced to express myself through art.
Being creative is who I am, I love being experimental and repurposing materials. From film negatives and x-rays, old bedsheets, food colouring, newspapers, old crayons, I love to use my hands and create things that dont always look good but tell a story. I cherish the world I live in and aim to make sustainable choices that put the environment first.
With a passion for photography and capturing the world that surrounds me, im rarely without my film camera loaded and ready to go.
Recently I've realised I might not be the best artist or graphic designer, but I certainly have fun when I'm being creative and I just want to share that joy with the world.
Future plans include, continue studying to become a qualified Visual Arts teacher. But for now I'm focused on enjoying the world and people around me. Spreading a bit of love and positivity anywhere I can!
